The pictures are in! They are horrible at best ... the model is the problem, ha! The wind was so strong that not even one picture was worth showing - BUT because it is my first half marathon I will gladly share them. Just check out that hairdo! The first one is taken about one mile into the race. The next one was taken close to the 6 mile mark. And the last one is when I was crossing the finish line. I felt so rejuvenated at the 12 mile mark and was able to increase my speed with ease. I was excited, happy and felt well as I crossed the line. With my finishing time of 2:10:17, that gave me a 9:56 pace mile! I was shooting for 10:30 to 11:00 minute pace. This was better than I could have ever imagined. I can hardly wait for the next one! Here are pictures of my running bib and my medal. I am so proud to have one of those gorgeous medals. (I have no idea why my medal picture is sideways, it's taken the same as the bib one...go figure!)
Kent's picture at the finish line of the 5k race was blurry. If I can get a better picture, I'll post it. But for now he does not have one to show. As a runner of either race, participants received a designer Vera Bradley bag. They are very pretty. I'm sure all the men loved that...but that just gives me two, yeah!
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

Blogging Without Obligation
After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation.
•Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill.
•Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine.
•Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing.
•Because sometimes less is more.
•Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog.
•Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone.
•Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”.
•Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
