Just wanted to share a few cards I've made in the past few days. I am really enjoying this "creative outburst" I've been having. A link to the details follow the picture. Please enjoy ...
This is for JBE050 Challenge. The directions say to use: 1 stamp, 2 embellishments, and 3 (or less) layers. This has 3 layers counting the card base. I had a hard time leaving this alone. I watercolored the pear and it gives it such a soft, subtle look. Watercolor Crayons were used to color the stamp, then sprayed lightly with a mist of water. A large paper brad was used in the center of the sponged flower. Seems like it still needs something; but it is for a challenge and not for "duding up". Click here for directions.
I am just in love with butterflies now. And these Martha Stewart butterfly punches are so adorable. They make very pretty silhouettes, don't you think? Go here for instructions.
I, also, love whimsey! And the Unfrogettable stamp set is full of it. These little frogs are just too cute! Don't they make you smile? The frog was watercolored. I like how the folded edge and torn sentiment adds to the fun of the card. See this for details.
This card speaks for itself. With the touch of metal of the ribbon slide and the softness of the white ribbon it makes this a simply elegant card. What do you think? Click here for details.
The main image was watercolored with an ink pad and watercolor brush. It came out better than I could have imagined - for me, that is. The recipe can be found here.
The separate panels contain one image that has been cut into thirds. And here I go again with those adorable butterflies. The touch of the black Kaiser pearls in the flower centers give the card some dimension. Go here for directions.

Blogging Without Obligation
After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation.
•Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill.
•Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine.
•Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing.
•Because sometimes less is more.
•Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog.
•Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone.
•Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”.
•Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
