The last few days have been like a whirlwind starting out with severe sinus headaches which included a bad toothache. Found out Thursday, that I will have to have a root canal done on the tooth that is touching the sinus that is causing me so much pain! So which is it, the chicken or the egg!! Don't know which is the "main" culprit...either way...my head has hurt more than I've hurt ever and has kept me in tears!! Went Thursday and got antibiotics and pain meds (yay, drugs!!!!) and I'm feeling better until I can get the work I need done on Monday.
I've also eat out terribly since Thursday. Every day ~ for whatever reason ~ we've had those "once a quarter" kind of occasions that we HAD to eat out and none of these places were good for you AND they all happened a day apart! As of this morning, I've gained 4 pounds since Thursday ... yikes! I've got some work to do when Monday is over!
We had a great visit with my Dad and Betty on Friday. Daddy was feeling good and it was so nice to see him. They haven't been to our house in so long and it was great to have them visit. He has been so ill for a year now. The day was beautiful and the temperature was great which lent to a great day for traveling and getting outside. This visit made me so happy as I don't have much company anyway; but to have one of your parents at your home, makes it feel more like "home".
Kent has worked so hard this week putting up a fence on the side of our yard. It began with removing 3 LARGE cedar trees about 25' high, 2 azalea plants and 2 smaller cedars...all of which had a disease and were dying. This took quite some time. Then he decided to go ahead and put up a fence he's been wanting to do for a couple of years now. With the exception of about 10 boards, it is finished. It looks great. Just look at how hard he's working. Go, honey!!!
Stay tuned ... for "the rest of the story" ...

Blogging Without Obligation
After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation.
•Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill.
•Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine.
•Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing.
•Because sometimes less is more.
•Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog.
•Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone.
•Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”.
•Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
