Beachy Day

Yesterday started out with a wonderful run through Kyle's neighborhood. It is filled with miles of sidewalks with a lot of them shady. We are still trying to get use to the humidity, but I think I'm getting more adjusted than Kent is. It's kinda tough this time of the year.

When we finished running we went to Kyle's then headed out to Tampa Beach. It takes some time to get there and back, so we didn't stay that long. All Spencer could talk about was fishing, so we took all of "that" stuff. The day was gorgeous to say the least! Shelby and I stayed on the beach...or rather in the water. There were seashells all along the shoreline that had washed up. The sandy bottom returned after a few feet into the water. It was fantastic! We stayed in the water neck-deep playing in the huge swells...the water was so clear you could see your feet at times. We loved it!!

The first picture and second pictures were taken from the fishing pier. The hotel on the right was huge and beautiful with many of the suites having outside balconies.
A beautiful boardwalk went alongside the beachy sand. Notice how clean everything is.

Check out these beach babes! (Shelby and me)

My wonderful family. The kids are growing up so fast!!

Me and my new friend.

When we left there, Kyle took us by the Tampa Bay Buckaneer Stadium and New York Yankees Spring Training Camp Stadium. We, also, saw the Devil Rays Baseball Stadium. I know, I know, this is all sports, but it's what the guys like. The kids stayed in the camper with us that night. We ate pizza and watched the CMT Country Music Awards. It was great!

Blogging Without Obligation

After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation. •Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill. •Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine. •Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing. •Because sometimes less is more. •Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog. •Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone. •Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”. •Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
