Snow in Jackson

South Mississippi has had its share of cold weather this year! But I can happily say that I'm glad that we experienced a beautiful snowfall before winter was over. On Valentine's weekend there was a Scrapbooking Crop in Madison, MS. Our plans were to leave on Friday, the 12th, but the forecast kept saying "snow" and a lot of it! With common sense in hand, we loaded our camper a day earlier and headed north. What a great decision!! Once we got settled in, we were prepared for the weather. The bad part of it all is that I had to leave at lunch on Friday to go to the Crop. The only good thing about that was it had quit snowing around lunch. Having no wind made it easy to be outside without a coat. It was really comfortable. The only trouble we had was walking. During the night, the snow had frozen and had become icy in some areas...like our camper steps!! It was sooo dangerous and difficult to go up or down them. You really had to pay attention to each step you made. It was the same way around the truck. Our feet got "wet" from the snow and made them quite cold. As you can see, we had wonderful, beautiful snow! Hope you enjoy the slide. It was a gorgeous day!
