John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

In the past, I've sent Thanksgiving cards out to my family. But before I had the chance to mail them, God put on my heart to do something different. Already made, I was now impressed to give them to who He directs me to. I'm not sure of all to whom He wants me to give them, but I rest assured that whoever He feels needs to have something unexpected will receive them. Because of this, I have been led to add more to the cards to make them extra special. I pray God will bless those that receive them.

This is one of the cards I had previously posted but now in its finished version for my husband on Thanksgiving. I hope he likes it as much as I did making it. He is "my love" and is a special gift sent from God to someone who doesn't deserve it. Thank you, God!

We will be going to my Mom's for Thanksgiving. I wanted to do something special for the table so I came up with this. Here are some simple Turkey Placecards for our Thanksgiving Dinner. With the use of punches, Build-a-Flower Cuttlebug and some woodsy stickers I had on hand, these were fun to make. As usual, the hardest part is bringing my thoughts together to envision the end product.

Those are absolutely precious. I found a website that allows you to print place cards out. You get to choose things to print on them. NO, they will not be nearly as cute as yours but tonight after church I am going to let Will go up to my office and do these himself for our family and his grandparents. I think he will like that. He has also learned a new word that he used on Jeff and I Sat night. I will have to tell you about it later!!! Remind me!!! Happy Thanksgiving and be careful as you drive.

Love your placecards.

Blogging Without Obligation

After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation. •Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill. •Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine. •Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing. •Because sometimes less is more. •Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog. •Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone. •Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”. •Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
