So much has happened in the last few days I hardly know where to begin. I began having trouble with my computer Thursday. So I decided to take it to Best Buy's Geek Squad to have it checked. Plans were to run my last long distance run before the half marathon on Friday at Longleaf Trace and decided we'd take it then while we were in Hattiesburg.
It was cold and rained continually the last part of the run. As I got into the second mile, I began cramping in my right calf. Cramps in my legs and feet have not been strangers to me and I've battled them all my life. It hurt harder and harder as I continued to run and I slowed down slower than I had ever run in my life...almost to a fast walk. But I refused to give in to it and stop altogether. I had to put in another long mileage and this was the day I could do it. Tons of things were planned the next two weeks and by the training programs we'd read, you are not suppose to run a long distance within two weeks prior to the marathon. Though I didn't walk, I had to stop a couple of times to stretch that muscle which I think helped. With Kent biking next to me, he kept water close at hand - I drank more than ever in case the cramping was caused by dehydration. I was totally soaked and could hardly walk when I finished running. As it turned out, I ran longer than the plan. Not having a designated marker to go by to turn around I had to run passed the last marker for so many minutes and turn around and go back. But Kent said I turned around too far and it ended up being about an extra half mile; therefore making the run 12.5 miles instead of 12. I am not satisfied with this one because it was a struggle from the get-go. A change of clothes were brought since there were other things needed to be done while in Hattiesburg. Two things I forgot to take: my hairdryer and shoes. So with hair and feet soaked, I was a sight to behold.
My computer was left at Best Buy for them to test it and clean off the viruses it had contracted. They were to call me when they had finished in a few days to come get it. A few more stops including Sam's and we were on the road going home. I was totally exhausted to say the least and my leg was killing me. When we got home, ice and Ibuprofen became my closest and dearest friends!! The ice immediately begin giving me relief.
We had already planned to go to the church for a Valentine party or I would have stayed home. There was about an hour to get ready before we had to leave for it. We had a real nice time and was glad that we went. Food and fellowship were great.
The following day, I received a call from the Geek Squad and they said that everything had failed. My hard drive had crashed! My heart dropped...this couldn't be happening to me. This stuff always happens to someone else. I am so particular with my things and I took such good care of it I couldn't believe this was occurring. My leg was still tender, I didn't feel good, and now this! We had to go to the funeral home for a dear friend's father who had passed away. So after we left there, off we go back to Hattiesburg again.
As it turned out, it wasn't gonna be that much more to get a new one than it would be to fix the one I had AND replace all the software and stuff on it. My main concern now were all the iTunes I had purchased. Not for sure how this is gonna go down, but I pray I will not lose all of that, too. I left BB with a new computer but not in the way I've done in the past. Excitement to get one was not the motive this time. Now, I've got a new computer and an Air Card for the Internet. I'm so thankful that God has allowed me this opportunity to trust Him. Praise God in all things!!

Blogging Without Obligation
After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation.
•Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill.
•Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine.
•Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing.
•Because sometimes less is more.
•Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog.
•Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone.
•Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”.
•Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .

No, we didn't buy anything! We were really tempted but prayed that if it wasn't God's will then he would make the deal not be a good one. He listened to us and answered our prayer. Even though it wasn't what we hoped for, we know the HE knows the future and we do not!! Hope you guys are having fun and staying safe!!
