We've had wind with gusts more than 30 mph since last Sunday. Very strong! No awning out and very little sitting out. The sun has been nice but you couldn't get out to enjoy it. Yesterday afternoon the wind gusts increased as we could feel the camper move a good bit. It wasn't scary. It rained all night which seemed to comfort you. This morning the wind increased and we woke up to kinda scary weather forecasts for our area. The Weather Channel was toying with proclaiming a tropical depression but since it had gotten so close to shore they felt it probably would not develop. What I am saying is that the weather had gotten bad! What happened over night?
We got up and went to the beach to see the water. And, boy, was it something. I felt like one of those people that were being shown on TV as an example of "do not do this" and "stay home where it's safe"! But we couldn't resist. It was double red flags! The surf was roaring to say the least. There were waves as far as you could see. It looked angry. What was a beach yesterday, was eroding fast now! Before you knew it, the water had encroached the lifeguard stands and giving them a good pounding. A little fence around one was broken quickly. Shortly, the water's edge came closer and closer. There is a picture of the sea wall and what I am trying to show is the water in the bottom right side. It had surpassed just about all of the beach. It had come from about 150' to 40' just before touching the sea wall!
The first picture begins with Saturday Storm with each picture getting progressively worse. Hope you enjoy these pictures!

Blogging Without Obligation
After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation. •Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill. •Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine. •Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing. •Because sometimes less is more. •Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog. •Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone. •Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”. •Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
