A Day of Rest

We had a full day yesterday and are looking for some down time today. It was World Card Making Day (that's for me) and we ran in a race. Since you have until midnight tonight to participate in the challenges on Splitcoast for card entries, I decided I would do this during the day today. I will be posting new cards soon on my blog. Would love to have you visit.

We've also encountered a "challenge" with the camper! It seems the converter has gone out!!! One is to be ordered Monday and should come in in the next couple of days. For now we are having to depend on our battery for major assistance. But in order to do that, we had to purchase a battery charger to help sustain it until the converter comes in. So, now where does this come into the budget??? Hmmmm...it doesn't!! Our 5k race was more than an hour away and by the time we returned to the camper (home) we see that our lights are VERY dim. Kent checked the charger and it read that the battery was fully charged. What is happening? It is near 9:15 and having been home 10 minutes all lights went out and the refrigerator went off. We could have done without the lights being late but we have to have the frig. So off we go to Walmart to get a battery. When we hooked it up everything worked fine.....all night long. We left our battery there and they charged it up. He talked with them the next morning and the battery was more than fine. So, is there a new problem?? For now, we have our original battery back and in working condition; lights and refrigerator are working properly. Hopefully, the converter will be here soon and real soon couldn't be fast enough.

Blogging Without Obligation

After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation. •Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill. •Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine. •Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing. •Because sometimes less is more. •Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog. •Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone. •Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”. •Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
