Sea World & Busch Gardens

What a great time we had at Sea World on Friday and Busch Gardens on Saturday! The days were perfect. The sky was blue and the clouds were pure white. You can't imagine how great these parks are. We went to many shows that were done in Disney manner. Guess our favorites were the 'Shamu' show and 'A'Lure Call of the Ocean' show at Sea World. The second one was a type of Cirque de Soleil. The kids had a great time. So many things for them to play on and ride.

Kyle and the kids and us.

Here Shamu is splashing the crowd. The picture is deceiving...the splash went about 15 rows up into the crowd!!

Shamu with his trainer. This pool was 36' deep and very cold! I'd hate to pay THAT power bill!!

The kids with Shamu (kinda). Don't remember where Bailey got off to when I took this picture.

The end of the day. Boy, were we tired!

The next group of pictures were taken at Busch Gardens.
Out in the crowd was a mother peacock and two chicks. Beautiful tropical birds and flamingos graced the streets with us.

This is a huge playground that was netted on both floors with a big yellow air mattress floor underneath. As big as this was it didn't hold a candle to the one at Sea World!! That one was at least 3 times larger with a picnic area and large sandbox where the yellow air mattress was in this picture AND 3 stories high!! Adults and children alike played in it. For some reason, I didn't get a picture of it. Guess I thought I did.

The roller coasters would definitely leave you with "WOW" in every breath and eyes wide open. This was the typical expression from exiting riders. Spencer and Shelby rode every roller coaster; some several times!! No, thank you, I'll watch from the ground. Here were their favorites, Sheikra and Montu.
Can you see the tiny car at the top of the track?

And Montu:
The coaster goes underground here.

Don't remember the name of this roller coaster, but it went underground (as so many would do 3-4 times), come back up in a loop and when it would soar downward, would hit water and literally soak anyone in this area. The splash was HUGE. Many bystanders would unknowingly get soaked to the skin. See the car on the right side leaving the scene of the 'accident'?? The splash area was actually about where the car is. The picture does NOT capture that area, only the splash about to make landfall. It was funny watching...and, oh, by the way, the riders never got wet! How'd they do that??

At one store, colorful candies were displayed with such beauty and awe. You just wanted some of it all!

And finally the stars of the day beginning with a beautiful Clydesdale horse...

The candy store would have been right up my alley! When I went to Orlando one year we did Disney and Epcot and all that went along with it but my favorite was Sea World and Busch Gardens. I absolutely have the best memories of that vacation.

Blogging Without Obligation

After coming across what seemed to be the 4000th or so post on someone’s blog starting with “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I decided it is time to rethink what makes a good blog and the expectations that have come to be part of it. I am thinking that no one should utter those words again . . .and with that thought I give you Blogging Without Obligation. •Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill. •Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine. •Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing. •Because sometimes less is more. •Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog. •Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone. •Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”. •Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
